Dheeraj Bansal is the founder of Recoat Studios, one of the fastest growing startups in the cosmetic segment. He started his business with just Rs 2 lakh and now has a turnover of Rs 100 crore. **How did you start your e-commerce business?**
I started my e-commerce business in 2018 with just Rs 2 lakh. I had no experience in the cosmetics industry, but I knew that there was a huge demand for affordable and good quality cosmetics in India. I started by selling my products on online marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart. However, I soon realized that I needed to have my own website in order to reach a wider audience.
**What were the challenges you faced when you started your business?**
The biggest challenge I faced when I started my business was getting the right products at the right price. I wanted to offer my customers affordable products, but I also wanted to make sure that the quality was good. I spent a lot of time researching different suppliers and manufacturers before I finally found the right ones.
Another challenge I faced was marketing my products. I knew that I needed to create a strong brand identity in order to stand out from the competition. I started by creating a website and social media accounts for my business. I also used paid advertising to reach a wider audience.
**How did you grow your business?**
I grew my business by focusing on customer service and providing excellent products. I made sure that my customers were always happy with their orders and that they received their products on time. I also offered a wide variety of products at affordable prices.
