No stretch around the legs, ordered my daughter's size, so big it almost fell off of her. By that time, she loved it so much I couldn't talk her out of it so I at least ordered a size down. STILL too big the mermaid tail goes nearly up to her neck and she is tall for her age! (5) STILL no stretch in the bottoms. They look like diapers. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
