I loved the size and portability and ease of use with powered pump. We have a camper at farm but I hate using the toilet there and then having to go dump and clean....I did not like that my pump failed and after a year hardly used it. But after reading all the reviews about other with same issue and people complaining about buying a new pump for $100 plus I called Thetford. Excellent cust svc they are sending a new pump and no charge and guess what it carries a THREE YEAR WARRANTY.....for anything. I was blown away by warranty. Cust svc 800-543-1219 "chris" helped me and new pump is on the way. I hope this helps someone....REGISTER it!

I think Thetford really hit a good place with quality and usability. The toilet is a great design and seems like it will last a long time. But it looks like they are testing the pump at the factory in water and then sending it out the door. My pump had water inside and a locked corroded motor. (If the design team reads this, ask your factory to put some thick grease between the motor shaft and the rubber seal when they assemble the thing. I think that will fix the leakage problems we’re all commenting about). I took the pump completely apart and fixed it but it was a real disappointment to see this corroded motor on a brand new purchase. Other than that this thing is great quality and a fair price.

The electric pump made sound but didn't do anything else when we unboxed the toilet and tested it for the first time. I removed the pump and it rattles like something is broken and the impeller doesn't turn. I'd read the reviews with pump failures but I expected we could get at least a little use out of it before having to deal with a broken pump. Nope.
