I bought this so my mom has hot tea ready in the morning. I make it the night before, following the instructions provided by the manufacturer. I pour boiling water in the thermos and let it stand for 15 minutes, and then pour in the tea after pouring the boiling water out. If you do that, the tea will stay hot (not just warm) for about 10 to 12 hours. You should try to fill up the thermos all the way with the hot water. The thermos looks nice, and is not too big. It is easy to use: elderly people (90+) can get their own beverage by pressing down on the lever. My only complaint is that the lever could be of better quality (it's cheap plastic), and it would be better if the top were removable. But the unit did not cost much and works well.
