Great rpm meter, works great. Easy to setup. It uses a 9 volt battery and the only thing i would change is when you install the battery it will go in any direction. There is no markings on the case or in the instructions on which directions the battery goes. Well i guess i installed it correctly because it worked the first time i tired it. I have a electric motor rated at 3,700 rpm and the meter recorded it running at 3,698 rpm. For the money i have no complaints and i received it before the estimated delivery time.
what a waste of money. I wonder if the people that gave this a high rating actually tested it against a known rpm rate. this think was out by nearly 10,000 rpm. My friend has two scopes that show is router at 28,000 rpm +/- 100 and this one showed the same router as turning at nearly 40k. My little spindle is only rated for 12k and this thing shows it at 20k. Maybe all these other people got one that really works, but the best think I can tell prespective buyers is ... good luck and I hope you have a lot more luck than I did.
