 My sweetie wanted a charcuterie platter, which is also known as a “cheese board” to ordinary people like me. After much scrutiny and review-reading, this model won. I selected this for its large size, patterned center, bamboo construction, incredible price, and single drawer with on-board tools. I think olives belong in bowls or ramekins, not in bamboo side drawers. But when it arrived, I discovered several cool features that aren’t even advertised. Had these features been known to me beforehand, it would have made my decision a lot faster. --- Unknown Features --- 1 – The drawer containing the tools doesn’t come all the way out. I had pictured a very loosely held drawer that slipped completely out if you tipped it wrong. So you don’t have to worry about the drawer and tools accidentally falling to the ground. 2 – The drawer has a neodymium super magnet inside that holds the drawer closed. The drawer stays neatly tucked away until you pull it out. Not only will it not accidentally fall out, but it won’t open accidentally, either. 3 – There are 4 pretty substantial rubber feet on the corners. No worries about it scratching your table, or the bamboo snagging on your delicate table cloth. 4 – You can kind of see it in one picture, but both ends of the tray are cut out for your fingers. That helps a lot with picking it up securely, and setting it down, especially for women with fingernails. Last, there are a lot of recent reviews saying and showing how the cheeses were misspelled. I contacted the company, and they advised that the spelling has been corrected, but it’s still possible that Amazon might ship one or two old ones that were misspelled. If that happens, just contact them and they will make it right. As you can see by my video, mine is good to go. I like this board so much, I ordered another for a housewarming gift for my niece. Hope this helps.
