This does not seperate oil well. If you are able to get all the water out and you get to the oil and turn the valve it leaks on out. The glass also holds oil on top and when you drain it will stick to the glass.

Sending it back for a refund was too much of a hassle compared to the price, but that's what I get for not spending the right money on Laboy or StonyLab glassware. Oh well add it to the pile of useless broken glassware... As for the product itself, cheap is an understatement. I have handled dozens of different brand glassware and the moment you pick this up you can feel it's close to half as thick as it should be, and the annealing seems to have been rushed due to poor craftsmanship in terms of shape and durability. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. SPEND THE EXTRA $20-30 AND GET SOMETHING THAT WILL ARRIVE IN ONE PIECE AND FUNCTION.

I bought this product to use in a distillation process. The end with the stopcock broke off with the second use. The glass is thin and not of laboratory quality grade. Also, The lettering on the item saying 1000 ML was not veryl clear and distinct. I feel like I threw $35.00 away. I could not find a direct way to contact this company to see if they stood behind their product.

I used this twice and one night it just broke. I didn't touch it or even look at it. I was sitting on the couch and heard a crash and found out it was just new separator. Very disappointed. What kind of glass just breaks without even touching it??

It slowly drips out the smaller side of the stopcock regardless of if its turned open or closed. The glass on the smaller side of the stopcock is really rough and the Teflon washer doesn't make a leak proof seal. It's also rough to turn. I might try greasing it, but glassware with cracks is really sketchy.
