The manual says to charge camera for 60 minutes before first use. I had it plugged in for about 15-20 minutes before it started smoking. The cord got extremely hot along with the camera. Luckily I was sitting there reading the manual or else it would have caught fire!! Something like this should not be sold anywhere at all!!!!
