I'm returning this because it now wants constant access to MY location. Tile will say this is the only way they can make the product work, but that's not true. My previous tile worked fine without CONSTANT ACCESS TO MY LOCATION. I'm sick of companies selling my location information. I won't buy a Tile ever again.

This is a lifesaver. I constantly lose my wallet. I just cannot, no matter what I do, keep track of the thing. This lets me beep it from my phone (which usually means using whatever device I actually can find to find my phone) and at least somewhat alleviates the issue of my being a total airhead. On the topic of airhead, I also have the annoying tendency to leave stuff behind. With the subscription, this reminds me I’ve done so. Granted, usually inconveniently far away, but at least I know where I forgot the thing. On the topic of the subscription it comes with (at the time of this writing) a bit of insurance that the item will be found (more or less insurance depending on the plan), replacement batteries annually, warrantee on the Tile itself (I manages to make one first chitter at me, then cry and changing the battery didn’t help), last known location of a device, the aforementioned “You forgot something” notification, and the ability to share the link with a friend so they can help figure out where the lost item is. The only thing I don’t like is the app. You can add devices. You can modify devices. You can replace devices. That’s it. You can’t be done with a device and delete it. Once you list it, it’s on your account for life. It’s a mild annoyance, granted, but it would be a nice, common sense feature.

This is one of those times when I bought the product reactively and not proactively. I wish I had it on the keys that cost $200 to replace but I consider it a lesson learned. Also helps to find my phone when I have my keys so that’s an added feature I didn’t realize I would benefit from until after I received my Tile in the mail. Would recommend!
