I just received and washed 3 set of these towels One in darkest brown and 2 in Coral. The brown one I washed twice to get rid of the shedding. The Coral sets required 3 wash and dries. With this all said, these are the thickest, most beautiful, and soft towels I have purchased, and this was even not adding softening sheets to the dryer. (I do not have soft water either.) After all of the washing cycles, there was no color change or softness. When I saw these towels on Amazon, it said they were Coral, yet they looked orange too me too. However, when they came and even after laundering, I still am happy that they are coral in color. They certainly are not Orange, which I probably would have returned.
