bought 2 pairs of these beautiful blue bookends. one of the pairs came with a scratch (on both stones) which spoiled it a bit but otherwise, these are really beautiful.
This is not at all comparable to the listing picture. One is short, another piece is long. Blue color is fainted - shown in the picture. Looks like there are burn marks - yellow/gold and black on one. As soon i hold these stones, my fingers were blue and was tough to get that dye out of my fingers. I ordered 4-6 lbs, looks like they gave 2 stones from diff set of weights they offer, so now 1 is short and 1 is long with blue dye missing on one. Looks ok, but very dissapointing on what i received. On top - if you return, SELLER is going to charge you for return fees. Just beware. Hope this helps

people weren't kidding about the dye on these things, it was even all over the paper it was packed in. I don't care that the color isn't natural, but it was so bad I had to wash them pretty hard with dish soap to get the excess off. not sure what's in the dye so it might behoove you to wear gloves when you take it out of the package. other than that they look great as bookends for my cookbooks on the counter.

I got the smallest size as i was only looking fpr these to hold up my vidoe games. they do the job wonderfly! now as another reviwer said these are syntheicly dyed, so if you get them in contact with fluid it will run. the outside is coverd in a powder but i wold use like a brush or somthing to get that stuff off.. i didnt because i didnt care. if you have heavy books to support then i would get the largest size they offer.

I know there are a few reviews citing poor dye jobs, cracks in the rock, etc. Mine look great, interesting looking in the blue dye. Very much worth the price. One of them has a small crack in the stone but I must ask: who the hell cares? They are literally rocks from the ground. The cracks and colorings, even when botched, make each one unique. I would recommend these to anyone who isn’t obsessive over not being able to control every meticulous detail of their bookend appearance, which should be...most people. They’re beautiful pieces honestly. The 4-6 lb stones are currently bordering 21 books on my long shelf and doing fine. Would *not* go smaller than that.
