I'm 330 pounds. I had foot fusion surgery and had 2 weeks in a splint, 4 weeks in my first cast, 4 weeks in my second cast (2 weeks in right now), two weeks in a boot, and then two months in a brace. Since I'm 330 pounds the doctor wants to be really easy on the foot, hence the 10 weeks of non weight bearing. The first two weeks I laid in bed and used a grandpa walker to get to the bathroom. My arms were killing me! I bought this thing and all of a sudden I could get about the house. I wasn't an athlete all of a sudden, but I could join my family downstairs for dinner, I could make it to the bathroom in 30 seconds instead of 5 minutes, I could go to the store, I could go up and down stairs, I could go out to restaurants. Yeah, people look at you funny, but I wasn't stuck in bed feeling sorry for myself. Get this thing! Forget regular crutches, forget walkers! Save your arms and upper body. Use your strong thighs muscle instead! And if you're worried about being stable, just use your hand to pull up on the forward handle to help lift your leg UP into the air so that you don't accidentally kick the ground with the crutch. Could not recommend this thing enough for getting me through the past 8 weeks. Two more to go and then I get to walk on my own power again!

The three online videos (how to assemble, fit and use it) are extremely well produced and informative. After breaking my ankle, I've had it for a week now, and am very comfortable and functional walking on it.
