Nice finish, great price. The only thing I don't get is why there is adhesive on the hinge pin. When you take ithe pin out, the adhesive gets on your fingers and then on anything you touch. I'm not sure what the purpose is, but I cleaned it off with paint thinner before I installed the hinges.

This product was great to replace a worn out weatherstrip on an apartment garage door. Use some sort of lubricant like wd40 to help the strip slide into the track. A helper who can hold the piece straight while you push/pull into place is helpful, but not required. The only complaint I had was this particular door was on an automatic closer, and the thickness of the weatherstripping caused the opener to abort closing before it reached the closed position. A small adjustment to the track arm was required. Not a big deal, just something to consider when replacing.

It had instructions in the packaging specifically calling out the garage door must be 1 5/8. Worked just fine on my 1 3/8 Clopay door. My bottom aluminum track was damaged, bent in places, and crusty. I cleaned it with a brass brush, tried to fix the bends with a needle nose pliers, sprayed it with WD40 and this slid on very easily with 2 people. The material is very pliable and somewhat soft so it is easily damaged if you are not careful. Since it was longer than the original seal, it was rubbing up against the door frame briefly on the way down. The frame had a rough splinter in it which tore the rubber. I sanded the rough splinter, lubricated the ends of the rubber threshold and that solved the problem. Overall, my part of the setup had problems but this product met my expectations.

I changed all the hinges throughout my house to match door knobs. Initially I was very happy with the purchase - every door looks so much better with matching finishes on hinges and knobs. Fast forward to now - 4-5 months after installation: EVERY door began to squeak. It all started with 1 door. Luckily I had 1 spare hinge left, so I swapped it and was happy for another month. Then the second door started squeaking, then the third, then another one and one more, and more... yesterday the first door (that I swapped the hinge for a new one on) started squeaking again. SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK. My advice is to go for more expensive (better quality) hinges. Stay away from these.
These are perfect! I bought them to replace door hinges and to add doors to our chicken coop, and they've worked perfectly for every use! They are really easy to install and should stand up to years of use! Thanks for a great product!

I am glad I did not listen to the reviews that state there are no screws. I wonder if maybe they did not recognize their location in the box. They are tucked inside what looks like a cardboard insert at the center of the box that separates the two rows of hinges. These hinges are well packaged, very nice quality and have a gorgeous finish. They deserve 5 stars for price and quality!
