Purely the fact that their app is absolutely horrible. Buttons don’t work. Questionnaire takes two hours and after you finish the questionnaire it asks you to repeat the entire questionnaire again. I haven’t even sent off my sample yet but so far the experience has been dreadful.
I didn't purchase through Amazon, I purchased directly with Amazon pay. I ordered months ago, created an account, assigned my kit, then went to log in again, but the site says there is no kit registered. I contacted support, they did nothing over the course of several emails. I now have a kit that I cannot use because even trying to create a new account, it says "kit already registered". This is SUPER lame! I want a refund.

Although Viome advertises the results and recommendations will be available 2-4 weeks from the date the sample is received, that is PAINFULLY WRONG! Mine too 7 Weeks! There is virtually no customer support or an easy way to contact the company. The recommendations were good. Would I do it again? Im not sure, currently I am looking around for another company.

I purchased this product with high hopes. After completing the difficult retrieval process and sending in my sample it’s now been over 9 weeks and they have not processed my results. I completed all of their tests and information grabbing surveys and check the app daily. Your biome changes after 8-12 weeks so there is literally no point in even getting results now, it would be the results of a different biome. This is not a real testing company.

I’ve received my Viome Gut Intelligence results and recommendations and overall I am very pleased with what I am learning and the insights I can take action on to improve my health. I have been reading a lot about the microbiome the past year with many articles talking about its importance and connections to good or bad health. I heard from a friend about Viome and that they are able to measure the activity of all those bacteria, parasites, fungi, viruses and phases that live in my GI tract. Perhaps most importantly Viome is able to use this technology to determine a very personalized diet - food by food. I knew that most diets just didn’t work so this started to make sense. I received my kit, collected a small stool sample, answered some questions on the Viome smartphone app and sent my sample back to the lab. Pretty simple process. My results and recommendations now appear on my app in a pretty user friendly format. Viome gives me some useful indexes of various aspects of my health and of course lists of foods I should eat often or avoid. It’s pretty neat that by clicking on a food the app told me exactly what in my microbiome was triggering that recommendation. So I understood why they were making that personalized recommendation for me. I feel confident that by following these food recommendations my overall health will improve. I plan on reporting back after a month on the program so I can share my progress. The experience so far has been great and inspires confidence in the results.
I paid my money, than mailed my sample and than went to register and it says I can't register and says I can't register as no testing where I live and says to contact them about it but NO number or e-mail anywhere to contact them. Even sending the sample was very confusing with my name not on the bottle I sent anywhere and it did not seal like it said to seal it. How can you trust a company run this poorly to give you any accurate information about your health? Very unhappy.
Dont waste your hard earned money on this crap. This product is a nothing but a scam. Spending 200$ on this thing is a biggest mistake one should make. Its almost throwing 200 bucks in garbage. I am so much upset with this. The software is not working good at all. The developers are not concerned about it. I am not happy with this.
I did the test because of chronic constipation and inability to lose weight. I had hoped to identify a few foods contributing to my issues, perhaps dairy and grains? The results showed that basically anything I eat that I consider healthy is causing inflammation, such as kale, spinach, almonds, wild rice, broccoli, cashews, cauliflower, fruits, etc. My superfoods are anchovies and alfalfa sprouts. Great. :-( I am very discouraged and feel like there's nothing I can eat that isn't "bad" for me. The upside is that the Viome probiotics have me pooping everyday, so that's awesome!
I ordered the pre and probiotics they recommended after I received my test results and it really has helped. I've taken regular pre and probiotics before and they certainly haven't helped like the custom ones from Viome. I also found the customer service to be excellent.
