Recently ordered these JBL car audio speakers. At first I saw them on Best Buy for $130 so I ordered them. Looked on amazon and saw them for $73. So I cancelled my first order and ordered these on Amazon. Shipping took quiet awhile but worth the wait. First thing you notice about the speakers is the difference in material used from these JBL speakers to you stock car speakers. Stock speakers use cardboard material, so the JBL GTO's definitely a plus. Secondly, they sound great with the stock radio and no amp, but i definitely suggest you get a new in-dash HD stereo and an amp. The speakers sound good as of right now but not to its full potential. I bought a pioneer hd radio and 1200w pioneer amp to go along with these speakers to get better sound quality and bass, but i havent installed them yet. Overall I am happy with the purchase, great price as well.

Bought 2 pairs of these to install in the front and rear doors of my Jeep Patriot. I am running an Alpine UTE-62bt head unit with an Alpine Power Pack providing 45 watts rms. I'm running Infinity Reference series speakers in my Camry and in my opinion they just don't compare to the sound I'm getting with these Jbl GTO938's. Perfectly balanced mids and highs and the bass sounds phenomenal. From the outside sounds like I have a sub and that's not exaggerating.

I installed these speakers in my 2012 Nissan Frontier crew cab in the front doors. I also have a pioneer double din deck. At first I was fusterated with the sound, no bass at all and no imaging what so ever. But given the reviews being so positive I figured something was not right. I'm glad I double checked my wiring because I had the speakers out of phase. After correcting this problem, WOW! Huge improvement. If after hooking everything up you aren't impressed double check everything! Nice bass now and great imaging too. Now I just need to get an amp to really drive those bad boys!
In the early 2000's I had bought some JBL speakers for a Beretta Z26 and I loved them. When compared to other speakers, the magnets looked massive and they really had great bass for 6x9's. So recently, I upgraded the stereo in another car and wanted to see what the modern options JBL had and I found these. They are probably older models, but after getting them installed (which in 90+ degree weather in the sun was not fun) they sound great and have not disappointed. Love the sound and the bass. Great price compared to the newer versions. I highly recommend them.
