This should not be rated for 250 amps. On system startup I was testing charger output. After about 5 minutes of around 90 amps I could smell something hot. I checked all connections and they were fine. Turns out this breaker was very hot. I am replacing with a made in USA one. I regret purchasing this. I regret not installing it within the return window.

Trips at no where near the rated amperage. Supposed to be 250 amp, it trips somewhere around 150 amps for a couple minutes. I have a great amp meter in a victron bmv 712, and this breaker gives up the ghost WAY to early.

The on/off lever on this STETION 20 Amp Resettable Fuse Circuit Breaker broke after a few months of intermittent use on a boat. It was used maybe 10 times over the short boating season and now it won't reset.

Others have reported it as well, you should consider the feedback of tripping low. I bought a 80A model for protecting the output of my solar MPPT controller, which is rated at 70A maximum. This breaker kept tripping when the current was around 65A. Also by definition, current should not exceed 70A so a 80A breaker should not trip unless something is very wrong. I had to throw these away (including another 40A that I used at the input of the solar MPPT, though it never tripped) and replaced them with marine grade ones. They are a bit more expensive but much more reliable.
