I have a relatively heavy telephoto that I tend to carry long distances and the strap I was wearing caused soreness in my shoulder blade. I think it was from a fall and not quite healed but having the camera carried on my shoulders eliminated the stress and soreness. I find the camera easy to remove and replace. I can sit and wait for birds and have it ready to shoot in a second or so. My handle is turned sideways and it provides a very effective grip and I got used to it quickly. I found the fitting to be relatively easy. At first I carried a bit low and it bumped my legs when going up hill but it was easily modified and I haven't touched it since.
This tripod is amazing! It extends to where I need and fits my needs perfectly. Honestly the best tripod I’ve ever had. Tripod is not extremely sturdy on carpet, but I adjusted it to where it had perfect balance.
