In today's world, technology is advancing at an unprecedented pace. One of the most significant advancements in recent years has been the development of artificial intelligence (AI). AI has revolutionized many industries, including web development. In this article, we will explore whether AI can build a website without writing code.
The Time to Build a Website
On average, building a website can take between 150 to 500 hours. However, what if you only had one day to build a website? That's precisely what we're going to explore in this article. We will use AI to build a landing page for a course and book on AI.
Using AI to Build a Website
Our sponsor for this project is 10Web. After logging in, we selected to create a new website and named it "Teach Me AI." We then used the AI Builder to generate the website and picked our business type. We explained that it's a book about AI as well as a video course to use chat GPT and open AI.
Next, we put in our three features, which are an eBook in PDF format, a video guide, and all the code in our templates that we've built to this day, such as our Discord integration, our openai template, and our chat GPT widget. Finally, we selected an informal tone and content, and it was done. So far, this has only taken us 10 minutes, and we have the layout for a website ready to go.
Customizing the Website
Now that we have the website layout, we can customize it without writing any code. We can see what else AI has done in terms of generating this page. Then, we can publish it and share it out to social media to see how well it did.
We opened up the home page, and while the text was useful, we wanted to write something more specific to the course we're making. Then, we jumped into the back end of the website, which we found is on WordPress. We installed a plugin called MailChimp so that we can collect some email addresses for people interested in purchasing this course.
What we liked was that there were different sections made for us. We deleted some that we didn't like and customized the other ones that we did, such as adding in our team, which is ourselves as well as George, who are writing this course and putting it together.
The End Result
We can publish our website in quite a few different places, such as on Come Road, on Daily.dev, on Feed Hive, and many more. These are some of our favorite websites to visit. To finish up, we put in some more statistics about what you actually get as part of the course, as well as some early previews and screenshots of it.
